the name of the people of the world's largest

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch
In Welsh, the town's name means "the church of St. Mary in the hollow of white hazel near a rapid whirlpool and the church of San Tisilo near the red cave".However, the town's name is often abbreviated as Llanfair PG (or Llanfairpwll among Welsh speakers). This suffices to distinguish it from other Welsh places named Llanfair. The name was decided in the 1860s by the town council, mainly for the privilege of having the longest name of a railway station in Britain. This name can not be regarded itself as a Welsh name, the site's original name is Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll, and is 16 letters in the Welsh alphabet and 19 in English. The name was also used as the password in the film version of Barbarella.
